I'm Summer
I am the owner of Summer Grace Photography! I have always loved capturing moments with a camera since I was 9 years old. The first camera I ever got was a silver digital camera. I don't even remember the brand, but it was mine and I was free to take all the pictures my memory card would hold. It was so fun!
The next camera I got was for Christmas at 16. It was a step up from a normal digital and that thing went with me every where. It wasn't professional but it taught me a lot. From there, the passion started to grow stronger. However, as life would have it, I found myself too busy for the camera. Life's waves tossed me around and it wasn't prioritized.
Then, one day, my husband drove me out to the middle of nowhere. There was so much scenery and wildlife. I started snapping away and remembered why I fell in love with it in the first place. He continued to believe in me and push me in ways I wouldn't even push myself. Even through motherhood I kept picking the camera back up from time to time. After my second pregnancy, I wanted to grow my business into something real. So that led me here today. Not only is it still fun, but my passion for capturing beautiful moments for families and couples continues to grow stronger and stronger daily.
All I have is because Jesus has poured into me and my business. All glory to Him. I put my faith in Him to grow and prosper this business and He has never failed me! Thank you for checking out this page and I hope to include you in the next step in this journey! God is good, all the time!

My why
I am a mother to two beautiful babies. A 5 year old son and a 2 year old daughter. In 2023, we took a leap of faith and moved from central Virginia to East Tennessee. We didn't know a soul out here. At the time, we only had our two year old son, but within two months of living here, we were surprised to learn that we were expecting again! Life was crazy and people thought we were crazy! (we are) So our family of 4 had to learn how to survive without a village. If I told you it was easy, it would be a lie. However, it has challenged me to grow in ways I didn't know was possible. My husband and I both work full time but I have still managed to get my own business off the ground. Now, a village was established eventually by the best friends I could ever ask for. They have supported us in so many ways, we could never repay and the Lord has provided everything we needed and more!
I am raising my children to be disciples of Christ, and that taking a leap of faith can and will work out, you just have to put the work in. I'm showing them that though the world may be up against them, the Lord will be with them through it all. Nothing worth having comes easy and every hardship makes you even better. That's my why.
